Odíhg Ucnukē (/uc/ /nuc/ [ritual] [possible; plausible]) is a subtropical Large Town located in the Kririsi̊mù Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Odíhg Ucnukē is derived from the Tauric language, as Odíhg Ucnukē was founded by Glëm Dyfodwg, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Odíhg Ucnukē has a yearly average temperature of 30°C (86°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 33°C (91°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 27°C (80°F). Odíhg Ucnukē receives an average of 288 cm/y (113 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Odíhg Ucnukē covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 3220 m (10564 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Odíhg Ucnukē was founded durring the late 17th century in late summer of the year 1576, by Glëm Dyfodwg. The establishment of Odíhg Ucnukē was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Glëm Dyfodwg struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Odíhg Ucnukē as a prison colony.

Odíhg Ucnukē was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Ucnukē is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Odíhg Ucnukē is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of spacious packed earth streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town has a fortified albit thin brick wall. The wall has most of the feeatures of a typical castle wall, just on a much smaller scale and and budget. Notably brick isn't a particuarly soild choice for resisting siege weapons. Odíhg Ucnukē's wall wouldn't hinder a proper army, but it is more than sufishent for bandits and other small marauding groups. Unfortuantly, these monster and outlaw focused fortifications are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A look around Odíhg Ucnukē makes it abundantly clear the town suffered something horrible some time ago. It’s a quiet town filled with closed scriptoriums, people quietly yet dejectedly reading in isolated places around town, and the occasional book laying in a heap of garbage.

Civic Infrastructure

Odíhg Ucnukē has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Odíhg Ucnukē. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Odíhg Ucnukē's parks.

They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Odíhg Ucnukē's natural decorations nor waterways.

Odíhg Ucnukē has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Odíhg Ucnukē's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is inspired by the natural world, characterized by sinuous, sculptural, organic shapes, arches, curving lines, and sensual ornamentation. Common motifs included stylized versions of leaves, flowers, vines, insects, animals, and other natural elements. Decorative elements found on the inside and outside of buildings include intricate mosaic work, curved windows, and decorative trim work. .
